Accreditation

Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017

Technical competence confirmed by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation (PJLA) in biological, chemical and non-destructive testing.

The Certificate

Independently assessed, internationally recognized

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is the international standard for the competence of testing laboratories. Our accreditation means an independent body has assessed our methods, instruments, people and quality system against it.

The instruments behind our results

The core techniques on our scope of accreditation, by type.

LC-MS/MS

Triple quadrupole liquid chromatography mass spectrometry

Tandem mass spectrometry confirms each compound by its own ion transitions, at trace levels.

Pesticides, mycotoxins
GC-MS/MS

Triple quadrupole gas chromatography mass spectrometry

Tandem mass spectrometry for compounds best separated in the gas phase.

Pesticides
ICP-MS

Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry

Elements ionized in an argon plasma and measured at trace levels.

Heavy metals
HPLC-DAD

High-performance liquid chromatography

Liquid chromatography with diode-array UV detection.

Potency
GC-MS

Headspace gas chromatography mass spectrometry

A headspace sampler heats each sealed vial and injects only the vapor, which is separated and identified by its mass spectrum.

Residual solvents, terpenes
qPCR

Real-time polymerase chain reaction

Detects the DNA of specific microorganisms.

Microbial contaminants

Also on our scope: water activity, moisture content and foreign material.

How We Work

What accreditation and licensing ask of us, every day

State and city licensed

Licensed by the State of California and the City of Los Angeles to perform regulatory compliance testing.

Validated methods

Every compliance test method is validated or verified before it is used.

Traceable calibration

Instruments are calibrated with traceable reference standards, and the calibration is checked before and during each run.

Quality control in every batch

Blanks, spiked controls and replicates run alongside client samples, with set acceptance limits. A compliance batch that misses them is not reported.

Independent checks

We analyze proficiency test samples of unknown value against other laboratories, and PJLA assessors review our methods, records and competence on a continuous cycle.

Impartiality and confidentiality

Both are requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and apply to every compliance sample.
